ONE PIECE THE MOVIE 10 : STRONG WORLD

Movie satu ini menceritakan...

Strong World is the 10th film of the One Piece series. It was written by manga creator Eiichiro Oda himself and is canonical.

News of the movie first appeared during a showing of the Episode of the Island of Perpetual Winter, which a teaser for the tenth movie was revealed. The movie was originally meant for a spring release in 2009. But complications with the script pushed the release date back. Eventually the movie premiered on December 12, 2009

As stated, the film is an original story written by Eiichiro Oda himself in honor of One Piece's Tenth Anniversary (In previous films Oda only supplied character designs and approved story ideas. For this one Toei personally asked if he would write the story). The movie is set between the Thriller Bark Arc and the Sabaody Archipelago arc, as Brook is shown alongside the other Straw Hats (making this his first movie appearance), and Sengoku and Garp are still in their positions in the Marines.

As a promo for the movie, the first 1.5 million japanese moviegoers who went to see the One Piece Film Strong World received Volume 0 of the manga. The "0th volume" bonus gift depicts the world of One Piece from 20 years ago. This volume is directly related to the plot of the movie — in particular, it depicts the war between the Pirate King Gol D. Roger and the legendary pirate "Golden Lion" Shiki

Sinopsis...

East Blue in crisis? The news hits the Straw Hat Crew along their journey. With their hometowns facing a crisis, Luffy and his friends put their adventures on hold and search for a way back to East Blue, when suddenly a mysterious flying pirate ship appears out of the sky. The man riding that ship is none other than the infamous Devil Fruit user, Golden Lion Shiki, the same legendary pirate who managed to escape the great undersea prison Impel Down, and stood among such famous pirates as the Pirate King Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard. After abducting Nami, Shiki sends Luffy and his crew hurdling down to earth. Separated, the crew finds themselves placed in a battle of survival with terrifying beasts on a flying archipelago. Meanwhile, with tears in her eyes, Nami begs Shiki to let her join his crew.

Creatures that evolved on their own respective islands? What happens to the Straw Hat pirates? What is Shiki after? An adventure where the Straw Hats place their very lives on the line begins now!

The Longest Yard

The Longest Yard (1974)

The Longest Yard (2005)

SINOPSIS FILM

One of the toughest and best-remembered sports movies of the 1970s gets a humorous makeover in this comedy. Paul "Wrecking" Crewe (Adam Sandler) was once a famous professional football player, but after several years out of the limelight and an alcohol problem have taken their toll, Crewe is arrested for a serious traffic accident aggravated by the fact he was drunk. Crewe is sentenced to Allenville Penitentiary, where Warden Hazen (James Cromwell) is something of a football fan. Hazen had organized his guards into an impressive football team, and clears a healthy profit by taking bets on their games. Looking to make the competition more interesting, Hazen suggests that Crewe put together a team from the inmate population to play his guards. With the help of fellow prisoner Caretaker (Chris Rock), Crewe recruits the heaviest hitters from the cell block for the team, but the guys don't play like a unit until Crewe and Caretaker get some help from Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds), a former college and NFL coach doing hard time. Adapted from Robert Aldrich's 1974 box-office smash of the same name, The Longest Yard also features rap star Nelly and Nicholas Turturro; the film has previously been loosely remade in 2001 as Mean Machine, with the action moved to England and the game changed to soccer. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
