James Owen Sullivan (February 9, 1981 – December 28, 2009), or The Reverend Tholomew Plague, often shortened to The Rev, was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the American metal band Avenged Sevenfold. He was also the lead vocalist in the avant-garde metal band Pinkly Smooth, a side project where he was known by the name Rat Head, with fellow Avenged Sevenfold member, guitarist Synyster Gates. Sullivan grew up and lived in Huntington Beach, California.The Rev was found dead on December 28, 2009, at the age of 28.
CAREER
The Rev obtained his first pair of drum sticks at the age of four and received his own drum set at the age of eleven.Before join Avenged Sevenfold as one of the band's founding members, Sullivan was the drummer for the third wave ska band Suburban Legends. At the age of eighteen he recorded his first album with Avenged Sevenfold titled "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet".
Later in life he was influenced by drummers Vinnie Paul, Mike Portnoy, Dave Lombardo, Lars Ulrich, and Terry Bozzio. Sullivan's signature ability which he called “‘the double-ride thing,’ just for lack of a better definition, because no one does it,” is a technique that can be heard on tracks such as "Almost Easy," "Critical Acclaim," and "Crossroads" in which Sullivan doubles up at a fast tempo between the double bass and ride cymbals.
The Rev was also a vocalist, songwriter, and pianist for Avenged Sevenfold. His piano-playing can be heard on the tracks "Warmness on the Soul" ,"Fiction" and "Save Me". His vocals are featured in Avenged Sevenfold's “A Little Piece of Heaven”, “Brompton Cocktail”, "Critical Acclaim", "Crossroads", “Gunslinger”, “Lost”, "Scream", “Afterlife", and "Fiction". He used his knowledge of the guitar and piano to write the songs "Almost Easy", "A Little Piece of Heaven", "Afterlife" and "Brompton Cocktail", "Welcome To The Family", "Save Me", and "Fiction". He also contributed to the making of "Critical Acclaim" and "Lost".
DEATH
On January 5, 2010, a private funeral was held for Sullivan, and a day later he was buried in Huntington Beach, California.

Perundingan antara golongan muda dan golongan tua dalam penyusunan teks Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Indonesia berlangsung pukul 02.00 - 04.00 dini hari. Teks proklamasi ditulis di ruang makan di laksamana Tadashi Maeda jln Imam Bonjol No 1. Para penyusun teks proklamasi itu adalah Ir. Soekarno, Drs. Moh. Hatta, dan Mr. Ahmad Soebarjo. Konsep teks proklamasi ditulis oleh Ir. Soekarno sendiri. Di ruang depan, hadir B.M Diah Sayuti Melik, Sukarni dan Soediro. Sukarni mengusulkan agar yang menandatangani teks proklamasi itu adalah Ir. Soekarno dan Drs. Moh. Hatta atas nama bangsa Indonesia. Teks Proklamasi Indonesia itu diketik oleh Sayuti melik.
Pagi harinya, 17 Agustus 1945, di kediaman Soekarno, Jalan Pegangsaan Timur 56 telah hadir antara lain Soewirjo, Wilopo, Gafar Pringgodigdo, Tabrani dan Trimurti. Acara dimulai pada pukul 10:00 dengan pembacaan proklamasi oleh Soekarno dan disambung pidato singkat tanpa teks. Kemudian bendera Merah Putih, yang telah dijahit oleh bu Fatmawati, dikibarkan, disusul dengan sambutan oleh Soewirjo, wakil walikota Jakarta saat itu dan Moewardi, pimpinan Barisan Pelopor.
Pada awalnya Trimurti diminta untuk menaikkan bendera namun ia menolak dengan alasan pengerekan bendera sebaiknya dilakukan oleh seorang prajurit. Oleh sebab itu ditunjuklah Latief Hendraningrat, seorang prajurit PETA, dibantu oleh Soehoed untuk tugas tersebut. Seorang pemudi muncul dari belakang membawa nampan berisi bendera Merah Putih (Sang Saka Merah Putih), yang dijahit oleh Fatmawati beberapa hari sebelumnya. Setelah bendera berkibar, hadirin menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya.[4]. Sampai saat ini, bendera pusaka tersebut masih disimpan di Museum Tugu Monumen Nasional.
Setelah upacara selesai berlangsung, kurang lebih 100 orang anggota Barisan Pelopor yang dipimpin S.Brata datang terburu-buru karena mereka tidak mengetahui perubahan tempat mendadak dari Ikada ke Pegangsaan. Mereka menuntut Soekarno mengulang pembacaan Proklamasi, namun ditolak. Akhirnya Hatta memberikan amanat singkat kepada mereka.[5]
Pada tanggal 18 Agustus 1945, Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (PPKI) mengambil keputusan, mengesahkan dan menetapkan Undang-Undang Dasar (UUD) sebagai dasar negara Republik Indonesia, yang selanjutnya dikenal sebagai UUD 45. Dengan demikian terbentuklah Pemerintahan Negara Kesatuan Indonesia yang berbentuk Republik (NKRI) dengan kedaulatan di tangan rakyat yang dilakukan sepenuhnya oleh Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat (MPR) yang akan dibentuk kemudian.
Setelah itu Soekarno dan M.Hatta terpilih atas usul dari Oto Iskandardinata dan persetujuan dari PPKI sebagai presiden dan wakil presiden Republik Indonesia yang pertama. Presiden dan wakil presiden akan dibantu oleh sebuah Komite Nasional.
